Catching Hot Spring Water in your Magic Bean bottle will set the number of bombers caught in the hide and seek minigame to any random number between 0 and 255. So, if you get lucky, you can get this number to be 1 through 4, effectively skipping catching them. In this video, this value was set to 2, meaning I only needed to catch 3 bombers to complete the minigame.
Of note:
-Any number 5 or greater will softlock the game when you catch a bomber.
-The number of bombers caught resets to 0 when you start the minigame, so for this to work, you need to start the minigame first, get BA, and then go back and finish it.
-This BA also sets the bomber you caught first to be any number between 0 and 255. This has no visual effect, however.
-This BA will always give you a 5 minute jinx.
-There's no way to actually know what value you have (without viewing memory) until you try to catch the kid, and considering that 251 out of 256 possibilities give softlocks... good luck!
