The Formula Skip Barber 2000 has about 130 horsepower and no driver aids. That is the whole point: with so little power to hide behind, every lap comes down to how late you brake, how early you get back to the throttle, and whether you can hold a line under pressure. Nothing is disguised.
It is the car iRacing hands new drivers when they graduate to open-wheel, and the grids stay close because of it — races are won by tenths, and a single mistake is usually the whole result.
The calendar runs classic road courses in North America and beyond, with the configuration often changing between visits.
