I went to Tom Simko's place and he took me ski plane flying from his private airstrip in the Idaho mountians. his airstrip is a difficult mountain airstrip to land and takeoff from. He takes me to a few local ski plane landing areas close to his airstrip hangar. he flys an experimental Rans S7 airplane with 2000 datum skiplane skis. Tom is a bush pilot and backcountry pilot.
