I intentionally got a bad Skew just to test this interaction.
Jumping out of Chimpy Charge does not lose skew, so I was interested in finding out if performing a Knockback Jump lost Skew or not. Turns out that it does not lose Skew! Additionally, it turns out that you do not lose Skew from Midair Jumping out of a Knockback Jump either, which means that Diddy is the only Kong that can Midair Jump out of their Skid Jump* without losing Skew!
I also tested Crash Climbing to find out if the single frame Jump before Crash lost Skew or not. Again, it did not lose Skew!
Diddy is really really cool.

Had there been more time, I would have TASd this little romhack for April 1st. I have something else planned instead.
100% in this romhack, much like other romhacks that GloriousLiar has released, includes filling out the Totals screen, which can be seen inside of Banjos House.

Youve been warned ahead of time. This can get bad in some places.
Myself and Isotarge have no idea why this happens. dY is changing every visual frame from 1973 to -1973, CL changing from correct to 0, -80, 0 every visual frame. No other values are affected. On top of all this, the cutscene updated both bone arrays and populated them with position at the end of the cannon shot, so I should be oscillating between 2 similar values. We have no idea why it chooses to use 0, -80, 0 instead.")
