I needed a reset, so I took a short break to play in my sketchbook. I needed a quiet space without talking, without thinking, only focusing on the moment. The Oil Pastel Portrait painting took about 10 minutes to make. The process was a form of meditation for me, and I felt so much better when I was done. Oil pastels are a very tactile form of play for me. I feel a bit more childlike as I work with what are essentially a professional form of crayons.

The video of my sketchbook process is sped up. I don't want you spending too much time consuming the video as content. I would rather you get out your supplies and play. I am pretty sure I am not the only person out there who needs a quick break right now.
