The Asia-Pacific region remains a cornerstone of global growth, with Asia projected to contribute to 60% of global GDP growth in 2024. However, the region faces urgent challenges that undermine its sustainable development potential.

Foremost, these include climate change, democratic resilience, inclusive growth, shifting geopolitics, and tightening monetary conditions. Through extensive consultation and in partnership with leading regional institutions, we have identified six major themes that serve as the cornerstone for unlocking sustainable development potential in the Asia-Pacific region with Australia being a crucial partner anchored in the region and connected to the world.
