Shayma and Sara are sisters, twins and best friends. They do everything together. “When she befriends someone, we both befriend them,” says Shayma. “If I wear a certain colour, she wears the same colour.”
The family left their home behind and made the dangerous journey to Greece, where they now receive support from Unicef and partners at a child and family support hub in central Athens.The family are incredibly close and are happy to be together. Although they do not know how long they will be in Greece, the Unicef-supported centre provides them with support they need and a chance for the children to learn, play and have some much needed fun.
