Siri is finally starting to feel like a real smart home assistant.
Instead of treating every command as a brand-new request, Siri now remembers the context of the conversation. In this example, I only mention the lights once, then simply say “turn them to 40%”, “turn them off”, and even change my mind again. Siri knows exactly what I’m referring to.
The best part? This isn’t just something I’ve noticed in iOS 27 Beta 3. Siri also seems noticeably smarter in iOS 26, so you may not have to wait until iOS 27 launches later this year to benefit.
It’s still not perfect—it can’t reliably perform multiple smart home actions in a single request yet—but this is the first time I’ve genuinely enjoyed controlling Apple Home with my voice.
If Apple continues in this direction, I can see a future where opening the Home app becomes something you rarely need to do.
