Basic lore:

Lars, in WTNG, ends up getting lost in the Dark Woods [alongside Isaiah, Penny, Fugger, April, Marc and Skid], and each character coincidentally finds themselves encountering a powerful creature or pack of creatures that ultimately accept them as respectable friends, leaders or "owners".

Lars came across a colony of Sireners, a species of deadly, opportunitistic, wyvern-like dragons that effortlessly fly between trees, stun their prey with loud, bone-chilling screeches and feature a hyper-extended lower jaw full of deadly teeth/three glowing, white eyes on each side of their head.


Lars managed to find one of them entangled in thorned vines, and he immediately took action to free it. As he did, however, he noticed that more and more eyes gazed upon him from the trees above...

after freeing it, the colony ended up claiming him as a leader or pack instructor.

eventually, this led to him being fully trusted by them, and, as a result, a few of the gods granted him this alternative form.
