Fremont is located in CENTRAL Sandusky County. We were NOT under a Tornado Warning, it was at least 30 miles north of us. The sirens shouldn't have activated, but the county does not have Zone-Alert functions. If they had, the sirens wouldn't have activated.
Why didn't I set off my siren for this, you ask?
1. We weren't under a warning.
2. The siren is in pieces, not to mention far from being wired up to run, at the moment.
3. It's illegal. It isn't worth it to blast a siren for 60 seconds and get fined $650 for doing it.
4. The resulting 911 calls from nearby residents about the new sound would overflood the phone lines and start putting emergency 911 calls on hold. It's the world we live in nowadays.
On the topic of my siren, it's still for sale. $350 OBO. Includes functioning ARCH radio, Nonfunctioning AR Timer, and partially functioning 1980 B-Series Thunderbolt 1000TB. Missing rotator motor and collector rings, but chopper operates as intended. New screen in the horn and original paint.
