Lowering the MCP voltage and exploiting the high quantum efficiency of the Aurora's black silicon sensor, gain induced noise can be all but eliminated.
If for no other reason, this would be a reason for me to have a SiOnyx camera. Pairing yields low noise, high contrast, scene rendering, in environments where other camera system fall short.
All footage shot on moonless nights near a new moon phase with a stock Aurora Pro with the OEM lens.

Gain is low, stupid low, lower than what is necessary for visual efficacy.
