I bought this Crompton Parkinson 180 Watt (approximately 1/4 HP) single phase induction motor for an upcoming project. Here I get it wired up and running.

Crompton Parkinson was formed by merger in 1927 and later in the 1970s I believe, merged again to form Brook Crompton. The power rating in Watts rather than horse power suggests a later motor.
