Host Rozz Lee is in London to meet Nathania Ong, who has just embarked on her third role on London’s West End, as the leading female role of Eliza Hamilton on Hamilton the musical. After her West End debut in 2021, Nathania gained attention as the first Singaporean to play Eponine in musical classic Les Miserables.
The young star’s vocal talent has been apparent since young. Fueled by a love for singing and performing, she shone on stages big and small in Singapore from a young age – including leading the national anthem at Singapore’s Youth Olympic Games closing ceremony when she was just 11. She was well set on her path to become a professional pop singer – so what stopped her then? And how did she end up on theatre stages in London?
