The emotion I was attempting to display was the overwhelming pain that comes from loss. The kind of pain that takes every happy memory, every blissful moment, and turns it into something you can't live with.
That kind of pain leads to desperation. Desperation born of dispair. In that state, you'd do anything to alleve the pain; even if that meant you'd loose everything.
Because even nothing would be better then suffering.
