Movie Description: Sing (2016) is an animated musical comedy from Illumination Entertainment, directed by Garth Jennings. Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) is a koala running a theater that's falling apart. His last idea to save it: a singing competition. His ancient assistant Miss Crawly accidentally prints the prize as $100,000 instead of $1,000, and suddenly everyone in the city shows up to audition. The five who make the cut are a mess in the best way. Rosita (Reese Witherspoon) is a mom of 25 piglets who hasn't been seen as anything but "mom" in years. Mike (Seth MacFarlane) is a con-artist mouse who just cheated the wrong people at poker. Ash (Scarlett Johansson) is a teenage porcupine whose boyfriend keeps telling her to shut up and do backing vocals. Johnny (Taron Egerton) wants to sing but his gorilla dad wants him driving getaway cars. And Meena (Tori Kelly) has maybe the best voice of all of them but can't sing in front of anyone without freezing. The theater collapses halfway through. They put the show on anyway.
