Nothing can separate us from God.
When the Bible speaks of sin as “missing the mark,” it’s using an archery term. It doesn’t imply that you’re inherently impure—it points to missing the target because you cannot see it clearly.
The “fall” is a fall into dual vision: seeing ourselves as separate from God, searching for what has never been absent. This is the consciousness symbolized by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—a divided mind.
But Jesus spoke of the single eye. When the mind becomes single, the illusion of separation dissolves. We no longer look for God outside ourselves because we awaken to the truth that God’s life is already our life.
“To the pure, all things are pure.”
“As He is, so are we in this world.”
Nothing has ever separated us from God except the belief that we could be. The journey is not becoming one with God—it is awakening to the oneness that has always been.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
