Simulacrum Ep. 5 // SRC XM8 Airsoft Gameplay

Months ago, a mysterious brain-hack wiped out an entire team of cyborgs employed by Corporate at a secret facility during a routine investigation. Since then, hundreds of Corporate’s hired mercenaries have been succumbing to similar hacks across the globe. It starts with a bird call. In moments, every augmented soldier with a Computer Brain Interface (CBI) turns against one another like zombies. It can’t be stopped. And it’s starting to have an effect on Corporate’s operations. Their tight grip on the global economy is ever so slightly starting to slip.
Meanwhile, the RNBW Corporation (also known as Rainbow) is flourishing. RNBW has always been second to Corporate in all industries that matter to a megacorporation. As long time rivals of the anonymous company’s reign, they reject Corporate’s secrecy and underhanded tactics with upright, straightforward honesty and transparency in everything that they do. As Corporate’s military position begins to slip, they have slowly started to move their way up from number two to number one.
Reach, a cyborg mercenary and long time employee of Corporate, has returned from a secret operation in South America with data that might begin to shed light on what is going on. Shell, Reach’s artificial intelligence, has discovered that RNBW is connected to the attacks: their employees worked closely with the faction in South America that was investigating the brain-hacks. With a location in mind, the two of them head out to investigate in hopes of finding a way to stop RNBW before it’s too late.
However, a threat lurks in the darkness, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Shogun, a heavily augmented cyborg employed by RNBW, has been sent to capture Reach by any means necessary…

Simulacrum is my approach to airsoft gameplay videos. Using a combination of action sequences, voice acting and airsoft gameplay recordings, I tell the story of a villainous megacorp and one of their most trusted hired goons.
Simulacrum is not intended to represent or mimic real life military or law enforcement operations. It is an attempt to create an immersive science fiction universe with airsoft gameplay.
