Hey, viewers! The Sims 4 is coming out with a new magical, Witches & Wizards type pack, so I thought I'd talk a bit about that as a "representation of Witches in media". As with most media, there are many aspects of this that are not true to being a Witch in real life, but that's to be expected! It's a video game! Still, there are a couple things they incorporated that, to me, give a little nod to more realistic Witchcraft. In this video I also show you a couple Witchy builds I've been working on, and unfortunately the game crashed so the last bit of the video just has screenshots of some Witchy Sims I'm creating, as well as a FREE pack someone created that is very Witchy and awesome. Years ago, when I did a couple other videos about the intersection between Pagan and LGBTQ+ identities, someone asked me to talk about Transgender Pagans as the third video in that series. But since Im not a Transgender Pagan, I didnt think it was appropriate for me to speak on that topic, and I explain that thought process a bit more in this video. Ive been working with Madelyn this summer, and she decided to cover this basic topic over on her channel! You will find that video linked. I wanted to give the back story about being asked about this here in a video on my channel, and also give a few more thoughts from my position and perspective now, in 2021, now that Ive been part of a tradition and community and strives to be intersectional and inclusive for a few years now. I also have better vocabulary to express my support now than I would have years ago, even though I was always in support.
