Engine test incoming. Actual rocket engine test coming after that. But first—we're testing our test stand. The unglamorous foundation of not-dying in space.

Meet BPM-17: a 1.7-tonne test engine that is deliberately, aggressively simple. It's a pipe. No throat. No cooling jacket. No soul-crushing complexity. We built it for one reason: to answer the question "Does our test stand actually measure what we think it measures?"

Why? Partly because HEAT 2X in 2014 taught us what happens when you skip this step (spoiler: cooling jackets fail, it's expensive, and everyone learns hard lessons).

We've followed this methodology before. BPM-2 tested the old stand for the Nexø rocket class engines. So we know how this works. And we're doing it again.
