In this presentation entitled For The Love of Money – How Loans and Credit Cards Really Work, ex-banker and founder of the ‘White Rabbit’ project ‘Simon The Spaniard’ looks at what we really know about money: “We spend half our lives chasing it, and the other half dreaming about ways of spending it; yet most people don’t understand what it is, or how it really works. The law of ‘money’ and ‘banking’ is the law of the sea: ‘current’, ‘currency’. When we are born [free], our mother’s waters break, and from those breaking waters, we emerge, having passed through the ‘berthing canal’. We are weighed, measured, numbered and NAMED; just like any vessel or cattle. The word ‘money’ derives from capital, collateral, cattle. Sounds interesting? Welcome to the wonderful world of banking and money; in which you will discover that you have always been a millionaire - you just didn’t know it.”
