Aviation Heritage UK presented Simon Ames OBE with a Lifetime Achievement Award, for all that this great man has done for aviation. It took place in the Heritage Hangar at Biggin Hill where he was surrounded by some 16 Spitfires and a few Hurricanes. I was invited to film the presentation, but for those that don't know Simon, also managed to get a brief look at some of the incredible aircraft to be found there.
Sad Footnote: We sadly lost Simon at the beginning of 2025.
