The Similan Islands might be the most beautiful Thai islands. Two days ago I went on a boat trip to Maya Bay and Koh Phi Phi Islands and now I can compare it with another day trip from Phuket – Similan Islands. They are a cluster of 11 islands in Thailand, in the Andaman sea known best for their gorgeous crystal clear turquoise waters, white sand, tropical marine life and stunning view points. Koh Similan Island is one of the best spot for snorkeling and diving in Thailand.
The islands are protected as part of a national park (Mu Ko Similan National Park) and can only be visited between the months of November and May. It is possible to do a day trip there from Phuket or Khao Lak. I recommend using Klook for the cheapest prices of boat tours. The boat tour also included 2 snorkeling sessions, food, snorkeling mask and exploring different islands at the archipelago.
