It is one of my all time favourites.
Tastes amazing after the frost, is fairly easy to harvest and is full of health benefits.

All this makes Silverleaf Buffaloberry (Shepherdia argentea) one of the best foods to snack on in the winter months.

This plant likes cold weather, is drought resistant and is easy to grow at home from wild clippings.

You can find Silverleaf Buffaloberry throughout Central and Western United States and Canada.

It likes to grow along edges of wet meadows, floodplains, streams, rivers, lakes and springs. As wells as and drier sites such as woodlands, foothills, exposed slopes and prairies.
