I uploaded my first version of this song back in June 2007. I wasn't too thrilled with it, so I tried again in August of the same year. Both have been somewhat well-received and it's still a song I play from time to time.
Last week Ben Folds released a large collection of rarities and demos which includes the studio version of Silver Street (previously the only released version was from his Live album). Excited that I finally got to hear the "original" recording, I sat down to see how much better I could play it verses 4 years ago. Here's that attempt.
Maybe 4 years from now I'll try again and keep using Silver Street as a comparison piece to see if I'm getting any better.
