Recently, I found out that you can climb the slope without Swift Step. I did a bunch more testing to see how each crest fared when we got rid of this very helpful ability, and this video is the result.
0:00 - Intro
2:30 - Hunter
First Room - This is close to being possible without Flea Brew, I couldn't get it to work though.
Shakra Cocoon - Yeah you don't need to go all the way around, you can just do the normal cocoon skip lol (unlike what I thought in my previous video)
Water Room - You might be able to do the same thing Wanderer does here, I'm not sure I didn't check (I did this before testing Wanderer). Also, I'm not sure if this strat can even be consistent (more on that in Shaman's notes)
Slope Room - Might be possible without Phial, idk
Flea Room - this room sucks, I think it's slightly rng too as the floating guys can move around a lot
7:36 - Wanderer
Shakra Cocoon - Turns out, Wanderer can get enough height for this cocoon skip too. Pogoing at the highest point possible actually seems a little worse than pogoing slightly lower? Can't confirm for sure though. Also the part just after the cocoon is really hard so I did it in two segments
Water Room - This room is a nightmare. What I found out is that after taking cold damage (either from the water or the air), there is a small window where you are immune to taking another hit of cold damage from the water. By abusing this window, you barely get enough time to make it to the exit (I died like 0.2 seconds from making it 3 times. It's brutal). I didn't use this tech for any other crest, even if it might've been helpful (because it's very obnoxious)
Slope Room - maybe possible without the Brew idk
12:30 - Reaper
Final Room - Don't (intentionally) do what I did at the very end here, I messed up and had to do a weird save lol
17:36 - Architect
If you ever need to refill on Plasmium Phials or shards (this goes for other crests too but is especially relevant here), from Shakra and final benches you can just travel via the Bellbeast, restock on Plasmium or shards, then save and quit back to the bench. You can do this from the toll bench too, but you might need to use some phials to actually get to where the Bellbeast is (or maybe you can avoid all phials with a cocoon skip, idk though).
Water Room - lmao (don't accidentally overdose)
22:51 - Witch
There is a pretty good chance you don't actually need all these tool pouches, I just didn't bother to super thoroughly check. Also, Witch pogo is incredibly finnicky and varies greatly with how much height you get it seems, I believe it has something to do with x position relative to the object being pogod but I can't say for sure (maybe y position is involved too??)
Shakra Cocoon - I wasn't able to get enough height for the normal cocoon skip, even with Flea Brew. I'm not going to write it off as completely impossible yet, but it doesn't seem particularly likely.
Water Room - Again, Witch is weird and sometimes when you try to pogo the ice blocks in the water, you get vacuumed in and take damage. The Flintslate warming effect also goes away when you dunk in water, so I'm not quite sure what the best places to use it are. Also, the heal used to steal 3 hp from that enemy is deceivingly difficult.
Flea Room - This room is probably possible without any tools? I don't know for sure though
28:23 - Shaman
Turns out Shaman pogo might be just a bit busted
Shakra Cocoon - Had to do this in multiple segments because that jump just after the cocoon is incredibly difficult.
Water Room - I'm not sure if this strat is consistently possible. The floating guys can move around a decent amount, and I'm not sure if you can get enough height for the upper warmth thingy if the guy is too low. Maybe a double pogo would work? I haven't tried that.
Toll Cocoon - This room is really tight, you have to be pretty clean with your execution if you want to get by this one.

![[OBSOLETE] UFO 50 - Mini and Max Low% Speedrun (Gold, pre v.1.7.8.21) in 12:12.116
Since this run, redrobot found you could do low% with one item
Low% Definition: Beat the game with the fewest amount of upgrades which includes heart pieces, energy pieces, and anything in the UI (tier two upgrades are counted twice). The current known lowest is 2 upgrades, being Potion 1 and Glove 1.
(as of now) an unofficial category, the routing is very different from the regular gold category! this run is probably the most difficult to get right compared to gold or maybe even cherry, the tricks used are pretty tough to get first try. the ending gearface section is also awful, even though sub 12 is definitely possible with this route, im not sure i want to go for it [OBSOLETE] UFO 50 - Mini and Max Low% Speedrun (Gold, pre v.1.7.8.21) in 12:12.116](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/dN3qrQ1Y26k/mqdefault.jpg)
