Hey guys! So, I have this cover of Lindsey's "Silent Night" for you to enjoy. If you're not familiar, Lindsey Stirling (youtube.com/lindseystomp) is an incredible violinist who plays straight from her heart. I highly encourage you to listen to the rest of her music! She played this Christmas tune a year ago, so it's probably about time for me to cover it, right? ;)
In this video, I wrote the sheets to match as closely to the violin as I could. The trouble was that the original video has two or three violin tracks in it, as well as a voice track haha. I had to write the piano to match ~four voices, which was very difficult. So, in this cover, the piano goes in and out of the original tracks which mattered most. The sheets on Lindsey's website (linked above) should be transcribed directly from her video, and closely match what I played here.
I tried to make my cover a little Mannheim Steamroller-ish...so when you listen, try to hear my influence! Despite being a relatively slow, simple piece, this arrangement was moderately difficult due to the large hand stretches (left hand 10ths) and multiple rhythms on the right hand (especially halfway through the song). If you want to learn this, consider picking up the sheet music, and practice diligently! I have a few more videos to make before the end of the year. In particular, keep a lookout for my Christmas Piano Medley :)
