Father Francis Bethel was one of the founding members of Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey in Oklahoma, a Benedictine monastic community that offers the traditional liturgy. Before that, he spent nearly a quarter of a century as a monk at the world-famous Notre Dame de Fontgombault Abbey in France.
He's published a new book titled "Silence to Silence: A Benedictine Pilgrimage to God’s Sanctuary," in which he draws on his 50 years as a monk to share his wisdom on how each of us — in this world full of noise — can cultivate the silence that leads us closer to God, and more able to hear His voice.
