a solo run of all the ancient forest monsters in 20 minutes with lance
im not a very good player and i didnt get as much time with the beta as id have liked, so this is very sloppy (accidentally used pitfall trap on rathalos, got hit a ton, flew to the wrong camp, etc). happy to get it done, though. lance feels amazing, even without guard or evasion skills (power guard is a neat inclusion that helps guard-less lancing a lot)
this iteration of rathalos is kind of a pain as lance. lance is forced to target head or tail because it relies really heavily on targeting weak areas, but flinching his head makes him do this goofy annoying recoil animation, and he loves to tail swipe which means you cant keep focusing his head and its gross
anjanath is also irritating. feels like a smaller deviljho, except his stomach isnt a weak point! lance hitboxes are very generous in world but hitting his little baby head is still difficult")
