TheTrendy | Signs Amy Slaton May Not Return To 1000lb Sisters @TheTrendy | Uploaded March 2022 | Updated October 2024, 15 hours ago.
Amy and Tammy Slaton's journeys changed drastically as they worked towards their personal weight loss goals in 1000-lb Sisters season 3. Amy Slaton achieves her goal while Tammy hits some bumps in the road. And although viewers are eager for the next chapter of the Slaton family's series, there might not be a season 4. In an interview with The Sun, Amy has hinted at “wanting out” amid a stressful filming schedule and a new baby on the way. Not only that, but growing tensions between the sisters could be why Amy wants to distance herself. In addition to new motherhood, Amy has had to take on Tammy's extensive needs. At more than 600 pounds, her older sister has limited mobility and breathing issues and relies on Amy and other family members to get around. Though she needs to get to the 500-pound mark in order to qualify for weight-loss surgery, Tammy has been neglecting her diet and health leaving Amy with the responsibility as caretaker. A recent move to a new home suggests Amy’s ready for change. If TLC does add another season, Amy said she'd reconsider if they agree to cut down her schedule and to put the focus on her siblings Tammy and Chris. Besides, Amy has already reached her weight loss goals, so it would make sense for the network to pivot to Tammy’s weight loss journey and struggles to stay motivated. But a new social media post from Tammy has fans buzzing that season 4 could be in the works.
