Wandering Between Lines and Light
"Wide-angle lenses changed the way I see the world. Instead of focusing on single subjects, I started paying attention to entire spaces and to their depth, scale, and structure, and it is what originally pulled me into architectural photography. To explore the Sigma 15mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary, I chose places that truly represent Helsinki to me, spaces I return to again and again, both visually and emotionally. Locations like the University of Helsinki Library and the Helsinki metro system offer very different atmospheres: one calm and luminous, the other energetic and subterranean, yet both rich with architectural character." - Kristo Vedenoja
Kristo Vedenoja is a freelance photographer specializing in architecture and street photography, both in still and video. Based in Helsinki, Finland, what inspires him the most in photography are patterns, colors, and the often-overlooked details hidden in plain sight. With a passion for architecture, he's drawn not only to grand buildings but also to the spaces they create - courtyards, staircases, and the small yet captivating details that make them unique.
