I love studying historical clothing to understand the cultural and societal reasoning to help me create clothing for my own fantasy worlds. I decided to embark up on an epic side quest to make mostly historically accurate clothing from 15th century Italy! Specifically I am making a gamurra or underdress and a giornea which is a tabard-like overdress.

And if you are curious... the closest thing to a garment I have made is a Christmas apron...
