Bremen | The Home of Liz Andrade animatic Pearl Walker 2024-05-20 | The Home of Liz Andrade (THoLA) is a story about a young cat named Liz Andrade living in a house in the woods with her Mother Marielle and her Uncle Rui. I was younger, I never uploaded art of my ocs because I was worried about spoiling the hypothetical story I wanted to make with them some day. Ironically, not showing people my work made me less motivated to make more of it, leading to me never actually making the stories I had so fiercely guarded. This is me going in the opposite direction, because life is too short to worry about that kind of stuff when you don't even have a fanbase for your project. THoLA is a comic I've been working on for around a year now. I got the initial idea back in December 2022, but didn't do much until a few months later. When I started this animation back in December 2023, I intended it to be a teaser for the comic (the comic was called "Wolves in these Woods" at the time).

I'm pretty happy with how this came out considering how I made this in a day. I joined this MAP on an impulse because I liked the designs but I didn't want to spend a long time on it. So I tried some limited animation and I told myself, I said, "Pearl, don't you add that extra frame. If you do, you'll keep adding frames and then eventually you'll start shading, you will." I made this in about three weeks, but the last thirty seconds were rushed out today so that this would be done before Grom airs. But all in all, I'm surprised by how much I like how the palette looks. Also fun fact, I almost forgot to add lyrics to the part and that's why they weren't in the storyboard. In the part of it shown here, I was in outer space trying to find photosynthetic flowers that made oxygen. But as I was on this one little planet, I realized that I didn't know if I could breathe or not. I sprinted back, swimming through the void, hopping along super Mario galaxy sized planets. I don't know if I died at the end or not. I focused more on the space/panic aspect of the dream because that seemed more visually interesting. I got it over three months ago, didn't work on it because school, then finished the last shot in a day. I also tried out a bunch of new stuff, like that star, ring thing in the first shot was 3d modeled in Blender (first time i've actually made something usable in that program lol). For Tigerstar, I referenced him off of traditional Korean art of tigers because idk the mythic aspect of a lot of them seemed to fit with the trippy song For the most part, I really like the end result. Part 9 | ITS ALRIGHT | Warrior cats horror AU MAP Pearl Walker 2020-06-14 | FINISHED MAP: youtube.com/watch?v=1xcRDQRCLeMThis is a MAP part for a horror Warriors AU, originally by Razmerry ( youtube.com/channel/UCfHdVAfAUY2k4ErqYvQro9A ). Basically the three have their powers but they're curses rather than gifts. Jayfeather is extremely empathetic to the point where he has no sense of identity and is constantly screaming. Dovewing is having sensory overload 99% of the time. And here, Lionblaze is so freakishly strong he hurts/crushes everything he touches. Script : Everyone is staying away from lionblaze, a visible divide between him and the rest of the clan. He crushes his fresh kill as he picks it up, looking angry as the gorey mess spatters onto the ground.I really like how the first two shots came out, the third shot I think looks okay but there were some rendering errors that I really wasn't be bothered to fix, and the last shot really annoys me. I think it has to do with the ears and also how the greenscreen wasn't working that well giving the lines a blue outline. Def. think I went a little crazy with Sony Vega's defocus tool haha. Also, there are a bunch of background details (mostly in the third shot) that I'm proud of. My goal with Lionblaze for this part was for him to look distraught that he crushed his food, but mostly just bitter that everyone views him as a monster and that that bitterness manifests as further anger and bloodlust. Idk though, I did this in less than a week so it didn't come out exactly how I imagined it. The first shot shows Bramble as The Star, but in that one shot where he's looking into the water, his reflection is upside down, so the card's meaning is reversed. Also, I used the Rider Waite deck as a reference because I had one on hand and because that's the deck that I think most people would recognize. On day, someone that the two of them both admired destroyed something that they loved, and loving after that happened became a struggle for them

Soldier Poet King Animation Meme Pearl Walker 2019-03-14 | AHHH IT'S FINALLY DONE!!!!I'm so proud of this, it's my first finished animation that's over a minute long. I've been working on this for about a month (back when this meme was still relevant cough cough) because I thought I could use this as a bit of an introduction to the world my characters live in.
