Lord Dhanvantari is the incarnation of Lord Mahavishnu.
Lord Dhanvantari in His four-arms holding the wheel (Sudarsana Chakra) and Conch (sankha) in the upper right and left hands as do most Vishnu incarnations. In the other two hands, there are the nectar pot (amrta-kalasha) and a herb.
Lord Dhanvantari is the source of Ayurveda medicine .
By reciting Lord Dhanvantari Mantras we can get relieved from most of the severe health ailments and lead a happy and peaceful life. A healthy life is the true wealth . If our health ailments are our impediments to achieve our success we have to pray to Lord Dhanvantari by chanting his mantra and performing his homa. In the Dhanvantari homa lot of rare herbs are used as samth and put in the holy fire.
