In this installment of Showroom Sessions, get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the New York Renaissance shirt, from conception to completion.
Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg recently came up to the Eckō Unltd. offices for a meeting of the minds with designer/artist Tony Whlgn. The end product is a special limited edition tee, serving as another component to Eckō and Rosenberg's recent collaboration, which also resulted in a SXSW showcase and mixtape.
The final product draws inspiration from New York's new sound—guys like Eckō Creative Director Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, and Flatbush Zombies—New York's rich scenery, as well as the artistic styles of the Harlem Renaissance.
