Angela Fehr Watercolour | Showing you every piece of video equipment I use for recording painting tutorials for YouTube! @angelfehr | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
Setting up your art studio to record video is an ongoing process! If you want to set up the cheapest possible setup, it's totally doable to get started with a minimal investment of money, and that's important because if you are feeling pressured to make your videos financially viable from day one, how and what you communicate in your video content will reflect the pressure you are feeling. Try to keep your initial costs low, and you can have a lot more fun in the creative process of building your video content and making lessons and tutorials that reflect who you are!
I was given a BenQ IdeaCam to review in today's video. I'm a fan of how easy it is to hold and bring close to the painting for detail shots.
The opinions and experience shared are all my own!
Find out more about the BenQ IdeaCam here: https://benqurl.biz/3ND64fF
And shop on Amazon.com here (affiliate link): amzn.to/3D3B6bP
The light over my workstation is beautifully made by Canvas.co - shopcanvas.co
and the software that I use to record and stream is called OBS Studio, and is free to download. obsproject.com
I have to thank my friend Joanie Simon from @TheBiteShot for her video on how to set up an overhead camera using a C stand. She just uploaded an update to the original video which you can watch here: youtu.be/PRJsLQuqouE
The rest of the gear in this video can be found in my Amazon.com storefront; I receive an affiliate commission when you order using these links. Thank you!
