Powder is a fairly typical modernistic/glow hybrid level made by Xatz and Vitrial within a time span of 20 hours. Although it is mostly typical, it does have some respectable unique aspects. For example, starting at 38%, the level includes a section of reasonably simple block designs with a spectacular leaf/vine effect surrounding the blocks, which really gives the level character. Furthermore, this section also has massive gears in the transitions which both are very clean and work very well with the song. After this part, the level begins to present more ordinary designs than the previous part offers. Despite this, these parts are executed quite well and are very clean and smooth. For example, the square background animation done at 72% both fits with the surrounding designs and pulses to the song. In regards to the song, there are notably bright colors that are used throughout the level, which makes an interesting combination with the dreamy song choice of Slow Down by Creo. While the entire level is bright and clean, I believe the biggest downside to this level is the lack of theming that the level presents. While some individual designs in each part are often amazing, each part doesn't really fit well together with other parts. Overall, I believe this is a well-made level with some excellent designs, but it suffers from a lack of theme that ties the entire level together.

I must admit, 1.6 levels are very hard to execute in a meaningful way in 2.1 and are even harder to implement in a megacollab form. Knowing this, it is outstanding that Celestial Surge bypasses both of these issues. For starters, the level is hardly ever empty. Each creator in this megacollab used their objects wisely to fill up the entire screen with decoration despite having such a limited selection of options to fill the screen with. Furthermore, these designs managed to keep the level interesting throughout, which again is surprising for the extremely small selection of usable objects. This level also has fantastic cohesion. I honestly had trouble figuring out where each part started and ended the first time I played through, but by the second time I noticed each individuals unique design choices, which were honestly really cool. One part of this level that I wasnt expecting was the quality of the gameplay, which turned out to be quite good compared to other 1.6 levels I have played. All of these factors combined really do set this megacollab apart from other levels of its kind as this level doesnt simply emulate nostalgia, but instead takes an old editor and pushes it to its absolute potential to make an interesting product. Overall, I believe this 1.6 level holds up unbelievably well on the 2.1 servers, and I hope to see more work from the creators in this megacollab in the future.

I hadnt heard of DanLom before playing this level, and from seeing that his level was rated epic, I had my hopes high. Ravers is a space themed glow-design level with an upbeat song which shares the levels name. One notable characteristic of the level is how closely each part sticks to the theme. Nearly every single part has something relating to space in it, and quite a few parts have planets in them. Furthermore, almost all parts have a blue-purple hue and revolve around these colors. This dedication to the theme certainly helps the level have a considerable amount of cohesion, despite the amount of creators involved. Another attribute that is excellent in this level is the pulsework. In each part, the pulses are extremely smooth and flow with the song very well. The pulses do a fantastic job at matching the intensity of the song at the drop, which makes the viewing experience more enjoyable. These pulses also pair well with the drop effects used to make an interesting atmosphere. While this level does have some interesting decorations, some of them do become a bit repetitive. Nearly every part in the level has a background that is either made up of stars or is a moon/planet. I believe the idea of space-themed objects could have been expanded more into things other than these to reduce repetition. Overall, this is a solid glow-design level, and I hope to see more from these creators in the future.

Its been a little while since Croc released a new level, and its nice seeing her unique style back in action. Nearly every design in this level is out of the ordinary including the block designs, air deco, and especially the backgrounds. The backgrounds in the level utilize spinning lines to make impressive moving designs. These designs sync quite well with the music and keep the level interesting throughout. The colors in the level are notably very flashy and colorful, even when the music is calmer. This does affect the dynamic of the level a bit, but the energetic background at the drop makes up for this. One noteworthy aspect of this level compared to Crocs other levels is that this one seems to have a bit more polish than some of her other levels. This extra polish certainly helps with the execution of Crocs original ideas. However, the level still can be a bit messy at times, which unfortunately affects the quality of the level a little bit. Also, the level is really short. While I do believe that this length of level is enough to execute the ideas for the designs in the level, extending the length could open up more opportunities to expand upon already presented ideas. Overall, this level is an awesome return level from Croc, and Im glad to see her back.
