Props to HALOCRAFT1337 on the forums for the glass pane fix to allow the dispenser to shoot the item in a perfect manner!
Using the acceleration an item obtains from 'popping out' of a block, extremely fast item conveyors can be created; much faster than the usual ice conveyor.
With stairs, this action continually occurs, and using water to push the block will give the desired effect. Due to this, it may be considered a bug and therefore may be removed, due to the overpowered usage of it.
I myself am unsure if there is a cap to this acceleration, but it does go faster than flying in creative mode.
