Useful in 100% Speedrun READ BELOW
We recently found out that you can skip most of the trading quest by holding the R button when canceling the last text box of King Zora after speaking to him. He would normally give you the tunic at this point, but since you delay the collection of the item by 1 frame, he instead gives you the frog. However, because he attempted to give you the tunic and failed, you cannot talk to him again for it.
This video shows you can then cancel the timer with a warp song etc to have the prescription again and then show the prescription for the Zora Tunic and show it again for the frog again. Basically we don't have to buy a tunic in a 100% speedrun if we do this.
This only works on N64 Versions 1.0 and 1.1.
This does NOT work on the N64 1.2, Virtual Console, or gamecube versions of the game.
How to do:
1. Show the Prescription and pull out a bomb right before he gives the eyeball frog. You have one frame so I suggest mashing the c button for bomb then cancelling the text with a or b.
2. Throw the bomb immediately and he will give you the tunic instead.
3. You can then show the prescription again to get the Eyeball Frog.
