Using @splice loops isn’t cheating.

Using them as is is where it falls apart.

A loop is just a starting point. Something to get ideas moving when you’re stuck, or to add a layer you wouldn’t have come up with yourself. That’s actually one of their biggest strengths.

The problem is when it stays untouched.

The real skill is in what you do after dragging it in. Chop it up, change the pitch, resample it, layer it, process it until it fits your track instead of the other way around.

A good loop should spark creativity, not replace it.

Used right, it speeds you up. Used wrong, it makes you blend in.
