Welcome to Affro's Curiosities Season 8!
I had the SEGA Saturn from 2019 up until 2023 & when I sold it, the games and even the Satiator cartridge, I regretted it big time!
Fast forward to July 2025 & I finally got a Japanese SEGA Saturn from my favourite retro gaming store!
However, I couldn't buy the games I once owned physically again & with the Satiator still costing £200, I needed an alternative! Enter the Saroo, an open source cartridge which allows users to store games on Micro SD cards, play games that required the 1MB or 4MB RAM Expansion Cartridge & get this.... You do not need to mod the Saturn!
Question is, for the £60 I paid for mine, is the Saroo worth it?
