A writer for ‘Bustle’ spoke to a woman who went on a bad date and was charged a “revenge payment” as a result. The woman said she immediately got bad vibes from her date, chugged her glass of wine and left. Her date offered to foot the bill, but later, the woman said she got a $40 payment request for her $18 drink. PayPal said in a 2025 survey that 32 per cent of Gen Z respondents said they’d received or sent a revenge payment request after a bad date. How do you feel about revenge payments?
