JUCE | Should The Bible Be Taken Literally? | Overtime @JUCEtv | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
Overtime: Should the Bible be taken literally? In this episode of Overtime, we will examine a few passages of the Christian scriptures to help discover how literally the Bible should be interpreted. Did Jesus LITERALLY rise from the dead? Did Jesus LITERALLY mean “if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away,” when He spoke in Matthew 5:30? The Bible is one cohesive book made up of many smaller books with different literary styles—but which of these styles should be interpreted literally? In this video, we walk through some of this!
We encourage you to ask questions in the comment section below, and we will answer some of them on our next episode of Overtime. See ya then!
This is Overtime, a series hosted by Josh Carman, created to answer some of your comments from Time Out. We hope to give you a better understanding of what we, as Christians, believe.
