Bookborn | Should Rings of Power even exist? @Bookborn | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
To be clear, so far what I've seen of the Rings of Power show I've enjoyed. But today I want to talk about canon, creative license, tv, and the inevitability of creation and the Rings of Power. Should this show exist when it's very premise is something they technically don't have the rights to? Without the Silmarillion, what's the point? Let's explore that today.
Chapters
00:00 - Intro (The Question)
00:53 - A quick primer (the context)
01:34 - Tolkien: A rare fantasy issue
03:25 - Companies can't ignore LOTR
04:54 - Artistic License
07:12 - The answer: Should the RoP exist?
08:32 - Conclusion
