The Occidental Nuevo Vallarta Hotel in Riviera Nayarit is a recently renovated resort located beachfront , approximately 13 km from the Puerto Vallarta airport.
Should you plan your vacation here - YES!
This is a solid 4 to 4.5 star Family all inclusive resort. Its only 274 rooms so easy to navigate.
My Deluxe Ocean View room was so comfy - great beds, lots of pillows, good shower - all you need.
The only drawback is not all rooms have balconies, but the resort more than makes up for this.
The beach is perfect for strolls and swimming. Yes there is only 1 general pool, but I had fun.
There is an elevated room category called The Royal Level - worth it? Id say yes.
Susan's Comments: If you are a family, or looking for an intimate resort for your Destination Wedding, you would be happy.
Food was tasty, and well presented, the lobby bar was fun and service attentive.
The locations is great as well, as you can walk out the resort and so a bit of exploring.
