(1925-2007)Shorty and Slim Dusty toured/busked together in their early years. Slim continued his career, whilst Shorty chose to return home to Kempsey to raise a family. He continued to write and record right up until his passing. A brilliant songwriter, his song "Winter Winds" (recorded by Slim) is recognised today as a true classic.
