Shorter days in September mean more people are driving in low-light conditions, making pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists harder to see. Drivers can reduce the risk by slowing down, cleaning their windshields, turning on their headlights and carefully scanning intersections and crosswalks. Those walking or biking can also improve visibility by wearing bright or reflective clothing.
