I simply adore Danish drama. I love how the Danes unapologetically say it as they see it and when to beat cops Mike and Jens find themselves stranded on an estate amongst rioting youths, the tension just leaps from the screen. With rich, wonderfully written characters, nuanced performances and a compelling, ever evolving plot, Shorta is superb. I was lucky enough to interview Jacob Lohmann as we chat more about the social conscience of the film and how he prepared for a role of flawed policeman, Mike Andersen.
