tl;dr: I want to say:
The density gradient does not force objects to move in a particular direction.
The density gradient is the RESULT of objects moving in a particular direction.
I should emphasize that we're STILL talking about Relative Density. Dense things sink down and light things rise up to sort themselves in order of density. That's still happening.
This video is simply discussing whether the direction of the gradient is a direct influence on the motion of the objects or if the gradient is the RESULT of the motion of the objects.
