This is our farewell to the STEDI™ Ford Ranger Raptor as it is moving on to new ownership. Throughout its time it has seen many changes, but here we feature its final form and all of the accessories fitted.
For the lighting, we decided to go above what the everyday off-roader would ever need fitting a pair of Type-X™ EVO LED Driving Lights on the platform paired with a slim 21 inch ST3K LED Light bar hidden sleekly underneath. In the wings of the bull bar are STEDI™ C4 LED Cube Lights allowing an additional flood beam in the near field close to the car. The roof has been equipped with our ST3303 Pro 39 Inch mounted using our roof rack brackets to suit the Rhino Rack® Platform.
Moving to accessories not related to lighting upfront is the Offroad Animal© Predator Bull Bar. This style of bull bar follows the lines of the car adding to the overall aggression of the Ranger Raptor aesthetic. This added the advantage of winch compatibility which for this car and its purpose, is a must-have.
Speaking of, installed behind the number plate is a Runva® 11XP Red winch ensuring the car has the ability to recover itself in situations that end up going south.
On the topic of recovery, or at least, prevention. We have wrapped the factory wheels with some Maxxis RAZR MTs giving a lot more grip through some of the activities present whilst attending photo shoots.
The roof has been fitted with a Rhino Rack® Platform as we are familiar with the system and the supporting ecosystem for accessories. This allowed us to utilise the roof area for storage and the outer edges for, of course, more lighting.
In the cabin, catering to all of the additional accessories, we have mounted the STEDI™ Switch Fascia Panel to allow 4 push button switches to operate the lights and winch.
As this was an early model Ranger Raptor, the low beam headlights are HID from factory but the high beam remained a dull, halogen globe. This was easy enough to swap in a Copper Head HB3 to bring the front end of the car to a modern white. During this process, we continued around the car fitting STEDI™ Dynamic LED Indicators and LED License Plate Light.
