I've been asked in the past "what is the point of kata?" I personally think of kata practice as akin to shadowboxing. However there is also definition of bunkai - the application of kata - which aims to take the movements of kata and apply a practical layer of application. This video is one such example of bunkai taken from a small segment of a kata known as Kudaka no Wankan. Enjoy!
